Gryphon LCP Dispensing:

The Gryphon LCP uses syringes specifically designed and optimized for dispensing LCP mixtures. Utilizing ARI's industry leading syringe dispensing technology, the Gryphon LCP can precisely dispense LCP at remarkably low volumes allowing you to make the most of your precious protein. The Gryphon LCP can dispense 25 nL with a CV of less than 3% and 10 nL with a CV under 5%.

Test Protocol:

A Liquid Cubic Phase was formed by the addition of 60% MO lipid reagent (90% Mono Olein rac-Glycerol:10% Cholesterol) mixed with 40% protein reagent mixture (20 µg/µl BSA, 50 mM Hepes pH 7.5, 2% N-Dodecyl B-D-Maltoside detergent, 250 mM NaCl, and 0.16% Flouroscein).

The ARI Coupled Dual Syringe Assembly containing the 2 reagents was then mixed on the Gryphon mixing stage for 1 hour to form LCP.

The Gryphon LCP dispensed 10 nl or 25 nl of the LCP reagent onto Marienfeld glass slides with sample spacers, and then sealed onto Greiner black body clear bottom assay plates containing  200 µl 80% ethanol and 200 mM Tris pH 8.0.  These plates were read from the bottom in a Tecan Spectraflour Plus plate reader.
